If you use a big enough cam such as a 280 or 290 a Holley 1904/1908 series works well from a Ford 170/200 CI 6 cylinder.

The best thing for clean upholstery is warm water and dish soap. It may take a few cycles of cleaning and drying but usually works well. Hash cleaners can make the material delaminate.

I use a high dollar machine called a Proformer. Not only does it stretch but it will shrink the metal down making very tight radiuses. Not an issue.

Danny since there are more than one manufacture, I start out with the size below a 1/4" for the small ones or try and remove any paint or powder coat build up slowly with a bit that just fits the hole. The oiler should just begin to start by a 1/32"-1/16".

Allan had similar issue years back. It was a very slightly warped brake drum striking the backing plate. Drove me nuts. Swapped the wheel assemblies around from left to right, problem fixed.

Herb it appears this Model was the refine version of previous models. Unique mechanisms. There was an optional attachment that went on the crank pulley for a generator. Neat how things progressed.

A lot of times it is easier to make your own from YB Ford blocks or early Chevy 216 with a removable ball cup. You then can get drill rod material and cut to fit to your own required length.

We’re also used in the marine industry all the way up into the early 1960’s. The parts did not change much at all if any.

Dave you might have to drill and tap to 1/4” x 20 thread wells 180 degrees out from each other, install grade 8 bolts with a bar and use your slide hammer that way.
