I have one TT with 7:1, it has a maximum speed of 15 mph. I have another with a 5:1 rear and Ruckstell. It will easily go 25 mph. With the 5:1 it needs the Ruckstell on hills. Guess? So many possibilities, how can one make an educated guess? You already know your fuel supply and carburetor are good. I would start by pulling the plugs and do a compression test. I have two, they work well so far, no problems. As with anything new, time will tell, but so far no maintenance required. With my old timers the first thing I did when a car started running rough was to clean the timer. So far, with two I Timers, I have had no problems!

If that is the case, be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes when you drive...you will need them. 3 running T's, several thousand miles per year, standard lawnmower filters, no problems yet...

Just put in a fuel filter ... Not me. That's often a cause of fuel starvation. Yep, if the filter gets blocked it will definitely need changing. And it indicates your tank needs cleaning. But I would rather change the filter than have the crap that clogged the filter clog my carburetor instead!

I think you will find that 6V draws a lot of amps which makes it flash faster. They should make a "heavy duty" 6V flasher. I'd try that first. 6v Or 12v makes no difference. Gasoline suffers in cars that sit. Gasoline was made to burn, not store. Just put in a fuel filter and drive your car a couple of times a week.

For long term storage, drain all gasoline and make sure the carburetor is dry.

Tom in reality, most here drive their cars 55MPH regularly, and when on tour, if late to get to the lunch stop, will drive up to 75-80MPH to get there. I don't know how safe it is.... But I'd look at some of the dyno data gathered at I think a recent Montana 500 on the mods... On a stock Ford, you go over 1600 RPM the car behaves like a modern car in overdrive...it is diminishing in horse-power AND torque available...everything is going into spinn...
