Hello all during rebuild of the gearbox i discovered the gear casing is cracked at the pin of the triple gear, does someone tried to repair this or does someone has one used for sale and eventually also a set of triple gears

I’ve been making new transmission drums for a little while. I’ve made a sample main shaft and now i’m considering making gear sets for the transmissions. I started by making one triple gear to see if I could do it. I think I’m going to try to make a full set and have them heat treated.

I recently started working on the engine of my model s. The main bearings have to much play. In the manual i did see the babbitt bearing is a loose bearings is that the case? Can i just press a another bearing in de block? IMG-20251223-WA0010.jpeg

For years I’ve been curious, why did Henry Ford and his designers develop the Model K with individual jugs, when the Model N motor was cast in pairs? It seems that pairs were the natural wave of the future, leading toward the future Model T mono-block.

I am looking for a correct splitdorf coil box for my 1906 Ford model N. I am currently running an early T box but would like to replace it with the correct box. I did talk to someone at Hershey at the early Ford meeting who said he probably had one at home, but I do not recall his name.

I am missing the portion of the hood former on my SR that goes from the steering column across the top of hood then down the left side. I do have the small piece that goes from the steering column vertically down the right side. I haven't been able to find one so my question is if I fabricate one is the hood dimensionally the same on both ends so...

These guys are in Australia. They restore World War II tanks that have been used as targets over the years. They get them running again. This is one example of what they go through to make a part.

Richard B. Darling , EFR Nr 9, Life Member, passed away in October 2025. Richard was a most generous member. He donated a defibrillator in the name of the EFR to the New London Fire Department. He served many years as a Director on the New London to New Brighton Run. More details will be coming.

Does anyone have a picture of where/how the muffler on a 08 SR attaches to the chassis? I have the tail pipe and muffler, and the muffler has a bracket that ia bolted on, with a bolt hole, but don't see that the hole lines up with anything on the chassis. Is there another piece to the bracket?

Using audit information, i broke down the net profit by model. Model B generated more net profit than the C and F combined for fiscal year 1905 (Oct 1, 1904 - Sep 30, 1905):

This is what I have currently for production numbers and profit by year, taken from Ford Motor Co. Profit & Loss (audit) records. 1909 profit/loss by model were no longer documented, and I used 1908 net profit numbers (probably not correct).

Several years ago the EFR commissioned new floor mats (original design) for NRS Fords. They were not cheap but GREAT quality and very authentic. I am hoping someone with an extra will consider selling it to be put in service in a restored car. Or perhaps we can start a list to make another run of new NRS floormats. Early Fords made a great showing on the run. We had 2 1904 model A, 3 model F, 1 K roadster, 1 model N, 2 model R, 1 model S runabout and one model S Roadster. All but 1 model F finished. The F had a coil box malfunction.

It’s not Peoria, but an interesting array of automobiles in Decatur Illinois, July, 1905. 66 cars were reported in this newspaper article. Ford Motor Co., just completing their 2nd year of operation, is the fourth largest in number of cars in Decatur.
