We set up this forum in Jan and 1000's of items have been sold. That's good. Speaking from personal experience both selling and watching numerous transactions unfold, there are things that work, and others that don't work as well. Here are some pointers to get the most out of placing an ad:

Rodger, it may be a little later than 1917. The two arm choke lever was used once the electric starter came into use on the 1919 models. I don't know about any other differences.

Set of 3 transmission drums for model Ts 1926 and 1927. These drums have been cleaned, checked for cracks by magna flux and have been precision ground and polished. The gears are excellent and tight. Brake drum uses replaceable shoes. Original bushings are on place and could be used without replacement. This is a great set of original Ford...

This horn measures about 10 long and about 5 in diameter. It is made by the Maxim Automobile Supply Mfg. Company in Brooklyn, New York. It has a brass bell, a three-hole mounting bracket and the original bakelite wire knobs. I would assume it would be from about 1913 to 1919ish. A good looking horn and in good condition.
The price is 195.00...

We've got this project for sale. Mostly correct 1915, and mostly complete. See the photos. Engine casting date of 11-9-1915, makes it a 1916 model, but still eligible for HCCA events. The front half of the body has the wood replaced. The rear seat is off and disassembled. Correct and solid fenders. Has demountable wheels but 30x3 non-demountable...

I ran this on my 1912 van for 25 years. The car got hard to crank start so I replaced it with Stan Howe rebuilt spare. It turned out that the hard starting was due to a shrunken cork float that was very loose on the hinge so the float level was all over th place.

Need a Kelsey outer rim that uses 30 x 3 1/2 tires
And takes the stud bolts holding clips and nuts.
The outer rim has one tab near the valve stem and has the ridge going completely around the outer edge with 4 slits the hold the 4 clips that grip the fellow of the inner wheel. Using for a spare tire.

Larry, a second type has a shoulder around the inside diameter of the rim. This shoulder wedges on the outer felloe edge. This type does not have the slits that let water into the rim/tyre assembly. I talked to the sheet metal guy, it can probably be pressed out and then possibly heated with a torch and quenched to shrink it if needed; not a big deal. According to him, the biggest, most time-consuming part of the job is to make the surface rust go away, so you can actually see where the dents are.

3 really nice demountable rims. These are not Hayes rims but have the fixed lugs, so I guess that makes them the Ford rims. Oddly enough 1 of the rims has Hayes lugs, but it is not a Hayes rim. I don’t know if the lugs are interchangeable between the 2 fixed lug type rims but all the lugs are tight on all the rims. These have been blasted clean....

for sale : set of early HEAVY type connecting rods for sale ( CHEAP) ... i removed these from the 1st. open valve T engine i worked on 30 years ago ...the babbitt was still very good and i butt ground the caps and ball burnished to STANDARD diameter to restore the fit ... these are too good to throw out and there is very little call to re-babbitt...

Decent brass orignal brass rad will need some repairs. Lower water outlet has several holes I have a replacement that will go with it. I did fill it up with water usual mouse nest in the top tank but seems to hold water well for being over 100 years old. $400 plus the ride would prefer local pickup located pleasant prairie wisconsin

Pair of 1913 1914 12 rivet housings THE LEFT HOUSING HAS A CRACK thru one of the pinion spool bolt holes it is fixable. Will probably need to be re riveted the rivets have been peened over on the left side $ 250 for the pair plus shipping but would prefer local pickup located pleasant prairie wisconsin

I some how managed to acquire a set of Mel Miller roadster wood plans that had been copied many times, but still true size. Come with many instructions, tips, and how to pages.

Just trying to help keep the community going. I do plan to digitize them at some point and perhaps redo them in a CAD type of program.

For Sale: Original Hard Bound Ford Service Manual, dated 1926. This is the good one, it is a little bigger and the pictures are much clearer than the reprints. In great condition, sound binding, very clean cover, very clean pages, no greasy fingerprints here, no missing pages, no dog ears, no funky smell. One of the best condition original manuals...
