I'm not certain, but I think it's a 1947 Pontiac

Henry, I believe you are correct. Thanks. This seems to be the basic model of the 1947 Streamliner Sedan Coupe in studying the brochures for that model

I remember my parents had one like that when I was born in 1953. I remember it had a clear amber hood ornament of an Indian Chief with cracks all through it. We had it until we replaced it with a brand new 1957 Ford Fairlane, which I did not like as much, as did not have as much room in the back seat for me to move as far a way from my sister as possible. Without air conditioning, it was sure hot in that backseat. We had the Fairlane until we replaced it with a brand new 1966 Ford Galaxy. I learned to drive in the Galaxy in 1970 which I equipped with an 8 track tape player. I still prefer the 8 track over all other forms of tape player. I especially hated cassette players (still do), which replaced the 8 track. Jim Patrick

Now days the Indian Chief would haft to be retired to the reservation/Garage. Politically incorrect but I loved the old lighted hood ornaments KOOL.They don't like My 70s bumper sticker either made during the Oil embargo. "Whip their Ass and take their gas"

Mine is dusty in the shop right now.It does have a repaired trunk floor, metal repaired around back window, rear fenders repaired, gas tank in but not hooked up yet.Last work I was doing was on the drivers side floor board and kick panels. Car is VERY rough.I beat the junk man by 25 bucks to get it.
