Model T Shriners Go Cart for sale

Post by Unprr » Thu Oct 01, 2020 4:26 pm

Up for sale is my Mini-Kars Inc. Shriners Model T Go Cart.

I purchased it for my Granddaughter, about a year ago. The body is is great condition, along with the 6 Hp engine, tires, wheels and interior. ( Photos attached ).
The original two speed transmission ( 1 forward and 1 reverse ) was cracked and not repairable. I put in a brand new Pro-Gear T7401b transmission. It has 4 speeds forward and 1 reverse. The wrench on the transmission is for shifting LOL and comes with the cart.
The cart is equipped with a single disc break, along with what appears to be rack and pinion stearing ?

My reason for selling is as follows:

1. To fast for a 6 year old.

2. The chain from the motor to the transmission keeps breaking. I have tried various sizes, with no solution.

3. I have two adult size Model T’s, that need my undivided attention. ( 1924 and 1927 ).

I’m asking $1500 OBO cash. Will help with loading from my home but will not arrange shipping.

Additional photo and video of it running, if requested.

My little 1960’s era Shriner’s Model T go Cart, that I played with as a kid and still have, has a v-belt going from the engine to the transmission. Never had a chain. I may sell it one day. When I got old enough in 1967 (13 years old), I took the engine apart and rebuilt it learning the hard way about timing marks. The experience taught me the basics, gave me confidence and prepared me for restoring my 1926 Model T coupe when I bought it in 1970. Jim Patrick
