Pre COVID and post COVID haircut

Post by Norman Kling » Tue Mar 30, 2021 4:34 pm

The last haircut was in February 2020, then the lock down. It's been over 3 weeks since the second shot and now the barber is open again. So I finally had a load lifted from my shoulders. Longest it has been in 85 years1

Well I'm very happy for you Norman. It looks much better and must feel better.
I think I'll wait for a better excuse.
Good to hear from you.

Hair cut makes you look ten years younger, Norm. My wife has always cut my hair, so the plague hasn't been any hinderance.

After my barber retired I bounced around trying to get a good hair cut for a couple years. My barber called my haircut a 1/2 assed flat top. Basic buzz cut that was flat in U shape around the front. After walking out of a chain store with a haircut and looking like Bart Simson, I had had enough. I went to Wally World and bought a set of clippers. Put the number one atatchment on and handed them to my wife. She had never cut hair and was scared she would mess it up. I told her if she did, in two weeks nobody would know. That was several years ago, so covid didnt stop my hair cuts. I did let it grow this winter for the cold and so I could look like everyone else.😁

Today, April 6, Dolores got her hair cut. She is still as beautiful as she was over 63 years ago when we got married. She does not dye it either.

Unable to find a barber that could keep me high-n-tight to the Gunny's
standards, I learned to cut my own hair while on deployment. That was
10 years ago, and I have been cutting my own ever since. None of that
shaggy business in this AO !
More people are doing it today than ever before !

After getting it cut. I was told that I don't look like Einstein anymore. And I don't feel like Samson either!

At least you fella's with long hair look somewhat normal. When you're bald on top you end up looking like a gray-haired clown if you let it grow long. My wife bought a clipper kit and we took turns butchering each other until I finally went to a barber last week. I'll spare you any photos.
