Are you a better internet searcher than I am?

Post by Steve Jelf » Fri Apr 02, 2021 5:34 pm

For well over a century wiring has been connected to switches and outlets by slotted 8-32 pan head brass screws.

Unfortunately sometimes these screws get lost, and so far my search for replacements has come up with zip. Brass is easy, and 8-32 is easy, but slotted pan head is the killer. I wonder if anybody here can find a source.

Good job Mark and Tim. My supplier has them but has a minimum order. How many and what length do you need. I have this many 1/2" long and twice that many 1/4" long.

How about another light switch...

Most of the others have one or both screws missing too. That's why I want a ready supply of extra screws.

Thanks for the links, guys.
I went with the offer of free shipping rather than the ones with shipping that more than doubles the price.
