I'm wondering if anyone out there who may own a Sears motor buggy might be able to help me. I have a 1910 Sears "H" and it's missing the timer. Mine has the cylinders straight across from each other. If there's a timer out there available, I would love to buy one. I have the owner's manual with a good illustration of one, but I don't know the dimensions. If possible, would someone who owns one be willing to give me the measurements necessary to build one and also advise me of how it attaches to the engine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks very much
Les Gitts

Thank you very much Gary. I just got (today) some detailed drawings of the timer, which will allow me to construct one. How does it stay attached to the engine?

The bushing in the timer is threaded . There's a spring behind it. Turn it on, back of from tight a little so the timer can move back and forth. The spring presure keeps the timer from moving.

Took a break from the Sears and overhauled my 1915 Dodge Bros. touring. Now back on the Sears. I received some great help regarding the timer for it, but I'm having a hard time constructing a mock up of the plate as to build the missing timer. I'm wondering if someone out there may have a timer which is off the car and would be willing to make a tracing of it, which would give me the correct location of the retard-advance stops as well as the size and location of the holes which hold the spark wheels.
Thanks very much
