This year we had very strange weather and many deer in the yard. I got one apple(at least one which stayed on the tree). Here is a picture of it.

How were the kumquats? I had one when I was visiting you early in the year. Thanks for showing me a good time.

Re: Small apple crop
We had many kumquats. I only used a part of the crop for the marmalade. I wish we could have gone to the truck museum in Campo while you were here. They have many old trucks and buses. In fact they restored the Julian Stage, which is actually built on a TT chassis. It is now in Julian at their museum. Nearby is the railroad museum. They actually have an AA fire truck which has been converted to run on the railroad. It is my understanding they used it to fight fires around the large wood trestle.

Re: Small apple crop
The reduction in your apple crop is merely inflation caused by Bidenomics and policies of your whacko governor. Get used to it. Meanwhile, here in Western North Carolina, we lost all our fruit crops last year due to a very late freeze caused, I am assured, by global warming. As a consequence of the loss last year, this year we are drowning in apples and other fruit. So far I have put down 34 gallons hard cider, five gallons of applesauce, and fed five hundred white tailed deer and as many black bears.
