Re: Princess Kate has cancer
Over thirty years ago, my wife's older sister died of stomach cancer at the age of 36. Way too young, and a very difficult time for her entire family.
I feel so much sympathy for Kate, her husband and children. I do hope Kate's condition has a better prognosis than Diane's stomach cancer was. I do hope she can recover, at least nearly fully, and go on to a lengthy and happy life.
Regardless, suffering through the illness, the treatments, the fears the doubts, the family issues that must be faced, is difficult enough in a private life, with good family support and without prying eyes everywhere. Having to suffer through all that with news vans watching and waiting all around, prying reporters asking incredibly stupid questions, horrid newspapers reporting all sorts of ridiculous speculations, is abominable at best!
I feel I must say, that the recent fake photo fiasco was incredibly foolish. Past that, I really sympathize with Kate and her family.

Re: Princess Kate has cancer
I don't envy celebrities much, especially in times like this. You live in a fishbowl and all sorts of half-truths and fiction are printed about you. As someone who has had cancer I preferred being able to choose who I told and what I told them. I'm sure Kate is concerned about what her children will hear among all the media hype. My sympathy and best wishes to her and her family.
