I got the following from CuzinHuey - I never heard of such a problem and wonder since my Model T has wood spokes whether I need be concerned about wheel termites?

Now that is funny! And judging by the windshield, the car is from the 50's or later. Says something about a particular generation that they could be sold on something like that.

Appears to be a late ’50’s Jaguar XK 150.

Possibly an invasive species? Perhaps they are more a problem in England and Europe.

I think it's a European thing. At least with knock-offs, they didn't have to deal with lug lice.

I was gonna guess a Jag also. :) Bloody Wire Mites... Grrr.
I have wheels that need another shot of brake cleaner to shut the sawdust/hole makers OFF.
A small battle with some pieces found in 2thousand16. Rear wheels and box parts on the TT and a few body parts on the '18 Runabout.
Oop!
Excuse my dalliance into reality. :)

Ah heck, I could go out right now and take photos of the holes from wood borers in my wood spooks and for that matter the rest of the wood in the body. :( I will have to ask at the parts store if they have any auto rated insecticide.
