Post by StevenS » Tue Mar 21, 2023 10:01 pm

I looked underneath the truck today and discovered I had a bad seal on my differential.

You know, I read the thread title, and even before I clicked on it I said to myself "Bad Seal, no fish for you!"
I guess warped minds stink alike?

LOL! You're lucky you weren't in Florida, there would have been an alligator under there. :)

My question is: what caused you to look? Was your "bad seal" making noise?

That's a long way from La Jolla, Ca. About 100 years ago a small breakwater was built with a small area of shallow water for children wading. It is called the "children's pool". About 25 or 30 years ago, the seals and sea lions invaded it and now it is closed to children! Down a bit farther south around Imperial beach, the seals are found on freeways! They think the sea level has already risen! Maybe, they are doing the same thing along the gulf? Gone up the river?

Look at a map some time, we have them past Portland Oregon in the Willamette river and below Bonniville Dam in the Columbia. ;)

At least your seal was fairly well camouflaged, This is what I saw in my gold wing when I was going to church
