Just wondering how everyone along the west coast is doing with this storm. So far, no big problems here in Alpine which is about 30 miles inland from San Diego. Just a very gentle rain but steady for about 15 hours. Some gusty winds but not as strong as our annual Santa Anas. However east of here toward the desert areas they have been having some rock slides and flooding. Much stronger storm in that area.

Thanks for the update Norman.
Not much happened here in central AZ. Just a lot of dark puffy clouds moving in a south to north direction. Some wind gusts and a few sprinkles. That was about it. Still dark cloud bands this morning. One thing it did do was cool everything off.

I noticed they are saying some places got like 3 inches of rain. That is hardly anything bad as that happens around here in a day or 2?

North Carolina is used to a lot of rain and structures are built to handle it, usually. However in the desert areas the entire year rainfall average might be 3 inches, so they have dips in the road where it crosses low places and very few bridges. Then when it rains, they get full of water and cars get stuck. Sometimes the pavement washes out and it is deeper than it looks.
