Florida snow

Before you put in your contacts. It was slightly cool this am in South West Florid and a lot of lawns in my Mother's neighborhood and when I first looked outside all of the lawns had a slight dusting of white
Until I looked closer
My brother said all of the snow birds refer to this weed as Florida Snow!

We also have the invasive Brazilian Pepper, which can grow to tree size. It has hundreds, perhaps thousands of red berries. It is often referred to as Florida Holly.
It actually does snow (rarely) in the Northers parts of Florida. The snow is very light, and doesn't accumulate much. Here in Collier County which is in the Southwest of Florida, we have never had measurable snow.

It's 78F in Houston, and 22 F in Pampa, Texas.

The last time we had real snow in Jacksonville Fl was December 1989. it stayed on the ground for 3 days and brought the city to a complete standstill including the 3 navy bases we had at that time.

Snow? In Panama City Beach? Seriously? We never get snow! 3.5" worth at midnight. Heck, we've even been the focal point of the Weather Channel this morning! LOL

Palm trees and snow.... What's wrong with this picture? Where is the global warming they promised us?
