Car ID request - Yass, NSW, Australia March 1921

Post by John E. Guitar » Mon Jun 24, 2019 8:42 pm

I was wondering if anyone can ID this car?

It was photographed outside Sheekey's Garage on Meehan St, Yass during the 1921 Yass centenary.

Apologies for the poor image quality.

I can only guess. I think it resembles a Cadillac of 1915 or thereabouts. The headlights look like the Gray & Davis ones but it's hard to see if they are large enough.
Any other guesses?

When did I do that?

Hi John E.
As soon as I saw your request for Car ID, I saved the image to my Crossley photo folder.
I would say that is a 1912-1913 15hp Crossley 2seater Roadster. English manufacture fitted with an Australian body.
You, being Computer,Photographic and a prolific instrument player could post a front section photo of our 15hp Crossley for forum members to compare.
Warm Winter Regards, Neil.
