This a Make-believe revised copy of the posting rules in the car section. CAN we apply this to the classifieds section to?
not only will it keep the classifieds nice and Tidey but also make it so I person can just sell their parts or buy parts without OPINIONS...
and if someone has something important or useful to say they can always just message directly.

READ THIS NOW BEFORE POSTING COMMENTS

This section of the forum is for folks who want to sell their (PARTS) NOT for random comments from the peanut gallery that are unrelated to interest in pursuing purchasing the (PARTS). Do NOT post your (PARTS) for sale in someone else's ad. It's not only rude, it's unprofessional.

Additionally, Keep your opinion comments out of this section. You know who you are, and if I see more unrelated comments appear in this section, they will be deleted, and you may be banned from the forums. Seriously.

Hopefully this is crystal clear.... I shouldn't even have to state the above, but here we are.

Another forum I look at has the ability to comment turned off in the classified section. You can only message the seller through PMs.

The most useful comments are
Email sent
Still available
Price drop
Sold

History lessons are nice but keep the item at the top dropping other items down.

Seller corrections need to be done privately
I feel they just come off as public shaming.

It would be nice to revise the classifieds but it takes a village. It comes down to clicking that post button I guess. ;)

I totally disagree. Corrections are not shaming. It is important to make corrections in real time, not whenever the original poster reads their email. Incorrect information about a part can cause someone to buy or sell the wrong item. Let's be transparent and truthful in ads. Errors can occur and most of us will offer respectful corrections.

Valid point and makes sense, also has been helpful in the past. real time is also important.
If a random poster makes a public correction should a bystander reading them know the information is accurate just because it was posted?
it seems trust becomes the issue either way
I would think sellers would check there emails often because they are selling things. And if not, are they checking their listings? maybe I am wrong
As far as Scammers are concerned as long as it can be verified Comment away.
buyers beware and do you research. Sellers do you research before posting.
