space ship landing

Post by RichardG » Wed Jul 17, 2019 10:38 pm

Interesting, just yesterday i was going through some old family slides, for the reunion, came across the live tv broadcast of the landing of the space ship. i knew i had taken them but forgot just where they were hiding, man do i wish i still had that old kodak , just because it went every where with me for years. from the birth of my youngest that is now 56, and the slides are in very good condition as is the kodak projector. same bulb for 60 plus years, still have the [new] bulb my dad wraped up for protection when this was new. yes things were built to last back then..

If the slides were Kodachrome I expect the color is still good. Some of the other films haven't held up as well.

Kodak had trouble with their process between 1952 and about 1960. My parents had a bunch of slides redone in the mid sixties, but since then their process has been flawless. Film was fun.
