Elfe cyclecar from the 1920s

I saw this interesting Elfe cyclecar at a car event in Rambouillet, France a year or so back.

It’s a fairly authentic recreation of the car in the old photo. The original was built by Eugene Mauve, creator of the Bol d'Or cyclecar/motorcycle race, which is still being run and will be held this September.

The owner told me he thinks it will do 110km/h although the steering setup looks a bit hairy for that kind of speed.

I would like to know more about the engine...
In the old picture it has a little cooling fan beside the engine. :)

The powerplant is an 1100 cc Anzani 20° Vee Twin.
