I spent some time at the Auburn,Chord Deusenburg museum last week. My cousin is a volunteer mechanic there. I havent been there since 1986 when our high school prom was held there. They have a wall with all the car builders in Indiana on a map. Kind of hard to see but thought it very interesting.

Visit The Wayne County Historical Society Museum in Richmond, IN to view their small but impressive auto collection of early cars.

A few were built in Richmond which had over (10) automakers and (6) piano manufacturers & at least (1) airline manufacturer ...

That museum is ranked one of the top ten medium size museums in the US.

I took a quick tour today with Mark Atkins.

Plan to return and spend much more time.

Thank you Paul. I think Indiana was second only to Michigan.

The Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum has an extensive collection of Indiana manufactured automobiles.

They only have space in the museum to publicly display 40 vehicles at any given time. I would say they have at around 300 vehicles in their collection including race cars and Indiana and non-Indiana commercially produced automobiles.

Nine years ago, my father and I were given a private tour of all their various storage spaces - the basement of the museum as well as the storage buildings on the speedway grounds - that house their collection of automobiles.
