What coil set has my May-ur friend found?
He picked this up at a garage sale lately. What's it for? Very cool find, I thought.
Mayor Keith just put it on top of the display case at the show-grounds. I hid it up in the cupboards. Thankfully, he found it in my absence.

Look real close at the brass nuts. Do they say Heinze in the groove?
I would say that it is for some two cylinder car. It probably would have been used on several makes.

Duane, look very closely at the wood box, often you can see a very faint brand or imprint on the case. To me , it looks like a Schug coil, made in Detroit. The ones I’ve had were oak cased, but that doesn’t mean much. These were used on the very early Ford model A , and C and then a remote switch was used right below the drivers seat in the front panel. If it’s a schug , it’s a home run. Regardless, a very nice coil for any two cylinder auto circa 1900-1905sh. It was used on any 2 cylinder engine, tractor, marine use, etc, but it’s best value is auto related. Nice item. R V Anderson would recognize the top and would likely know the make just from that.

Getting closer for a name on the Type B_______ (I think I see) coil set.
I'll check with Keith this weekend to be sure he brought it back home so it can get closely inspected.
Perhaps I'll drop R V a note and see if I can lead him here.
Once this one is sorted, I'll go to the curio cabinet and grab a coil I received in a pile, photograph it and ask on that one too.
Thank you gentlemen!

I have a single with 3 studs and a metal mounting tab on the back. Looks new and has Detroit Coil stamped in it. Would this be for a hit or miss?

Doggone it, I've been too busy with other things to pay attention. I'm so broke, I can't afford to pay attention.
Haven't even bothered RV yet.
I'll try this weekend.
Thanks guys
