Alphabet’s (GOOGL) (GOOG) self-driving car arm, Waymo, has informed its members who opted for the service that their next ride could be driverless.

This should be really good for older people who want to stay in their homes. And the roads might be safer with fewer drivers who really should give up their licenses. Plus, depending on how much transport one needs, this could be less expensive than owning a car.
And the roads should be safer overall, these things look in all directions at once and don't get distracted texting...
