Anybody able to get the webinar thing to work?? I wasted way too much time trying to get signed up, signed in, have to join Zoom, whatever that is, typed my email address half a dozen times and clicked on link after link, they want everything from my name to whatever.

I'm off to the shop.

Stan,

I'm on and I'm no tech wiz. Started checking it out around 9:30, signed up OK and went right on at 10. First time on Zoom. Normally nothing ever works like that for me.

Same here, just watched it, really good job for the first one. Advanced registered and 1 hour before the webinar the club sent link and password, fast in.

Somehow I managed to legged on to watch it. I don't know if I will ever join in on a conversation without someone next to me to walk me through the procedure. Intuitive controls are anything but intuitive for me. I had an Iphone for 5 days before I gave up. My brain is not wired in the same way as Steve Jobs was.

I dunno. I'm usually pretty good on this stuff, I have half a dozen web sites I set up and maintain but I got lost and ran out of patience on this deal.

I was on both webinars this morning. It took a little help fro Chris, our webmaster, but then went well, and I'm no computer whiz either.

I really enjoyed Tony Bowkers garage tour & hope to see more of those in the future.

I got on both webinars this morning and things went great. It just might take a bit to get the hang of it - but it’s an awesome application that I foresee great uses for. Don’t give up on it.

Stan, I have been on both MTFCA webinars so far. I was already using Zoom, which helped. I started using it in one-on-one video calls, then expanded to small meetings. You should first go to:

https://zoom.us

and download the software. Once you have done that, you can join meetings, webinars etc. As is usually the case, I can say that it isn't difficult, but can't necessarily explain how I did it. As you have said, you've done enough with websites, computers, etc. to be able to figure it out.

I think it might be my browser. I've had trouble downloading some other things, too. My computer is Jurassic age.

I don't have time to watch anything any way.

I joined the first webinar using my iPhone and it was very easy. I then shot the garage tour again using the cell phone and then pieced about 30 short videos into one 15 minute video with absolutely no problems.
So far so good.
Then I tried to upload to YouTube and I failed. It took my daughter about four hours to find the problems, passwords and permissions were incorrect. I could never have done it.
After she solved the problems it was easy and I’ll do another soon.
For the second webinar I thought I would use my Windows 7 laptop. Apparently Zoom and Windows 7 can’t communicate and after it started asking for money I decided to stay on the iPhone.
Seems to me that unless you are using very current hardware and software, Zoom is very difficult to install.

I watched it on my laptop computer with monitor. It's running the old Windows 97 but had no problems simply clicking on the icons to load Zoom and it came right on after the log on info. Tony, I enjoyed the tour of your shop.
I now have a new appreciation of professional shows on TV like the musical that aired last night showing people performing from their homes around the world.

Much Thanks to Jeff and Chris.

Tony, I am still using Windows 7 and I use the free version of Zoom. They seem to play well together. I haven't had a problem. (I have no idea why that is, of course. Computers often seem to play by their own rules without revealing those rules to us. :D )

Yes
Many thanks to all who contributed to the webinar. It was great to see Azevedo again.
Up until about 6 weeks ago, I saw Larry twice a week.
