What is this part?

I found this in a box of spare parts with a Model T I bought.

Looks like a fan belt guide that mounts to timing gear cover. If I had my copy of their catalog here I would look it up.
I know the voices aren't real but damn they have some good ideas! :roll:

A worthless accessory if your crankshaft and fan pulleys have the correct crown. Much better to fix or replace the pulleys. Would you put a bandaid on your arm if it was broken?

Definitely "A worthless accessory if your crankshaft and fan pulleys have the correct crown". However I have them on 5 of my T's. 3 are homemade. Most ones are this variety that Jay shared with us years ago. I plan to improve my pulleys as time permits.
