New (to me) driveshaft rebuild parts

Rebuilding some rear axles and using after market design pinion bearings and stumbled onto a couple items at a local bearing supply house;
1.A clamp on 1” collar rather than the set screw design. I think it will be considerably easier to adjust and should hold good without any tack welding to the drive shaft 2.A package of various thickness 1” diameter steel shims. 19 pieces from.001” up 1/8”
