Hi All,
My unrestored TT is missing its coils and coil box. Recommendations on someone to turn to for coils and a box?
Thanks,
Jason

Coils: I would buy them from one of the coil specialists—Ron Patterson, Brent Mize, Andy Loso, etc. Or I would research which ones are appropriate for the year, buy them on the cheap at auctions or swap meets, and have one of the aforementioned specialists rebuild and adjust them. Obviously the first route is faster.
Box: I would research which one is appropriate and buy it from one of the dealers in used parts, or find it at a swap meet or auction. (Most of the parts dealers have used stuff not listed in their catalogues. You have to ask.) Then I would rebuild it with the Fun Projects coil box kit.

At the very least a good coil box that’s been rebuilt is the way to go. It’s the nerve center of a Model T. You may find what’s looks to be a good used one but since yours is missing I would rebuild one then you will know that’s it right. Then get you some rebuilt coils and your good to go. Good luck!

Check with Langs. They should have everything you will need, including new coils.

I have several unrestored coilboxes that I have been taking to swap meets for sale. Depending on the year you have, I might have a starting point for you. From bare boxes to complete needing a rebuild. send me an e-mail if interested. dmcgearsatyahoodotcom.
