Rear diff roller thrust bearings.
The other day I had a young fellow near me ask what I knew about the rear diff roller thrust bearing and I hadn't even heard about them, I checked and Snyder's has them but I still know nothing. Does anyone have any experience with or know about these? Thanks, Dennis

Been running a set in one of my Ruckstells for probably 20 years - hasn't "come from together" yet !

There are a number of previous posts on the Forum, this one seems kind of neutral. I do not have a preference, best, jb

I think they are an unnecessary complication, with a major drawback. The only way you can make adjustments to set crown wheel and pinion mesh is by fitting shims behind the thrusts. I'd much rather work with bronze thrust which can be manipulated to get a near prefect setting.

Re: Rear diff roller thrust bearings.
The roller bearings are completely unnecessary. The bronze thrust washers are cheaper and much less likely to give you trouble.

If you have a POWERFUL T engine and aren’t running a Ruckstell then I like them. I installed them 40 years ago in a 60 HP speedster
