Over 20 years ago I bought this interesting book and I wonder if any of the Model T's, Fordson tractors, and TT truck, or their engines are still around today.
C. H. Elniff and Son was a Ford dealer in Jamestown, Kansas, a small town in Cloud County up in the North central part of the state. Doing a little research,-- they were appointed as a Ford dealer on June 11, 1921, and were still a dealer in 1951, but I do not know when that ended. I do not know what the population was then, but today it is less than 400.
On December 31, 1925 they listed their inventory in this record book.
They had ten new 1926 Model T's. one TT truck, and three new Fordson tractors.
They had over $4100 in new Ford parts in stock, and about $2200 in tires and tubes and related supplies.
Their oil and grease stock was over $1500..
Here are some photos of the book, and I will add more later if there is any interest.
Check your engine numbers and see if any survived.

The orange ink blotter was between the pages. A blotter was used with the old ink pens years ago.

They stocked 279 new inner tubes and 131 new tires worth $2181.44, and $1514.80 worth of grease and oil products.

Neat book with lots of information!
I wonder if the cars that are listed with their serial numbers are still around. Or maybe the engines. I would think the runabout with no starter was the cheapest sold. Neat information!

Neat to see the prices of tires and tubes in 1925, if you do the US inflation calculator not too surprised at the current values, and we complain about tire prices today

Noted that a lot of the tires on hand were the lowest cost fabric, didn't last as long but cheaper!

Prices on better cord:

Silvertown Cord, 30 x 3 1/2 was $11.50 so today that would be $169.00!

Firestone Balloon cord, 21" was $15.15, today $228.00!
and a metal stem tube to go with that balloon tire, $2.85, today $45.00!

More pages from the inventory book. It gives an indication of their needs back then.

Looks like they were changing the coil points pretty often compared to other items!
