So "tuning" coils now is looking at the future to improve the performance of the old induction coil. It great that the future is helping the ipod users develop an app to make a buzz coil sing better.
I still tune my coils old school, with a tried an true tester and make certain cushion spring is free. The points are not pitted. And spark control is start position.
Amazing how well the Fliver starts on mag, battery, with hand crank or electric 6 volt starter. And this is all done with out the aid of a computer.
