Question on TT Truck spring and perch bushings for rear

Post by FATMAN » Fri Feb 28, 2020 10:30 am

I always thought the bushings on the TT Truck were the same for the rear spring and perch, I know the perches are different
but the T-6 book shows two different bushings and part numbers and prices but no dimensions, does anyone have the dimensions?
the part numbers in the book are
TT-1087 Rear Spring bushing
TT-1100 Rear Perch bushing

One is for the early TT. It uses part # 1101 in conjunction. I’m not sure if the 1100 or 1087 is the early or late. The later used one size for the spring and perch. At least that’s the way my 27 works. This all came from the TT1 book from May of 1927.

My parts books make a jump from 1921 to 1928 with none in between. For at least 1921 it still shows the early perch bushing used with spacers. The later perch was made wider to eliminate the spacers. By 1928 the parts book was only showing the one type bushing for both spring and perch. You might look at some of the parts books between those dates here;

There were some of the spacers listed in the classifieds within the last few weeks.
I know the voices aren't real but damn they have some good ideas! :shock:
