Neat picture. What’s interesting is the wrench she’s using. Looks like it’s some sort of pliers.
Looks like an early version of vise grips.

Does anyone recognize the car? US? British? It is an odd tail light also.

Tim, do you know anything about the subject, or the ultimate source of the photo? Seems to me there could be quite a story there...

Other than the tail light and license location, it looks the like my 12 Hudson.

Inline springs is somewhat unique. Too new to the whole car thing to even have a thought but not a common setup.

Probably 3/4 elliptic springs on rear. Actually, parallel springs fore and aft was a common suspension setup for a very long time.

The young lady is holding a tool that is not usually associated with motor vehicle requirements. It is most used as a pipe wrench. I have several in my collection, some bearing the brand 'Footprint'.
They are adjustable in that the inner 'handle' has several holes so that the outer can be positioned so that the jaws are wider or narrower as required. They are still made and readily available.

I still have one of those wrenches which I made myself as an apprentice piece. The car could be one of many British cars with that suspension layout.

It is mindbogling as to the wast knowledge of the men and women on this website. Every time someone asks about something rare someone seems to come up with the answer right away and most times even has one of those or knows where to get one. Love it. Frank
