Top/Lid for Boyco Running Board Cans

I am looking for some tops/lids for Boyco gas/oil/water running board cans. I tried to find the chafing dish fuel cans as suggested in the past but they are not the right size on the brand I found.
I talked to Howell's Sheet Metal who makes new cans and holders but they have not found a source for the lids.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

I asked about this a few years ago and got several suggestions. None of them turned out to fit. One of my cans was leaking around the spout, so I emptied it, put water in it and tried to solder the leak. It turned out that the spout was aluminum and melted! I thought I would solder on a steel spout from some other can (lacquer thinner, paint remover, etc.), but so far all I've found have been too large or too small. For now I'm plugging the hole with a cork. (A rubber stopper didn't survive.)

A company has tooled up and makes reproduction caps, but real pricey for a set of 3 :(

I seem to remember Sterno /Chafer lids being the correct size?

And those reproduction lids look terrible compared to an original! They are a regular modern style screw cap with the logo stamped on them. Not at all what I’ve seen on originals.

Sterno now comes in a can with a press-in lid, but that Chafer looks like it might work.

I took a Boyco lid when I went to town today, so I could compare lids on various products. Oatey PVC stuff is a no-go. Their lids are all too big or too small. The same goes for all the thinners and paint removers I saw. At the hardware store, the only place in town that I know of with chafing fuel, all the cans have press-in lids. All the B&S gas tank lids I have tried were also wrong.

I wonder where this guy is getting the lids he stamps with the Boyco name. They are obviously not a reproduction of the original Boyco lid.

What a Deal... Only 65 bucks each! They should seal leak free for that amount!

I’ve seen good selections of new lids of different sizes in Amish dry goods stores.

Seems new caps then weren’t too cheap either!

.15 cents in 1922 is $2.55 today

I thought I would look for a source with a Google search of steel can manufacturers. I am always amazed by how many big companies have websites that range from user-unfriendly to downright dysfunctional. I submitted inquiries where I could. I'll report if there are any responses.

If you read the entire description on the Ebay ad that is posted, you'll see that a company is not presently making them, but the set of three is for sale by an individual who states the name of the company who did make them. Originals were straight and sharp at the bottom edge. My originals don't have a rolled edge at the bottom. BTW, I may have a extra lid or two, but they are likely bent or dented. If they had been choice grade, I wouldn't have discarded them. Also, I am 200 miles away from my parts and with this virus going on; don't email me about a dented lid unless you have plenty of months to wait for a answer.

I was at a Dollar Tree store last week and they had charging dish fuel in a screw top can. No idea if it will fit, but it was a Dollar.

You may be able to have the lid reproduced including the logo with a 3D printer.
