Speedster Tool Box

Post by Jeepbone1 » Tue Mar 31, 2020 8:12 pm

Finished up a three day project today. Finally after eight months of driving my speedster I got my butt in gear and got motivated to build the rear toolbox for my speedster. I may have gone a little overkill on this one but at least it has plenty of room and is solid as a rock. Final dimension ended up being 40”x15”x20” with a usable 38”x13”x15” inside space. The bottom was raised to accommodate the rear crossmember poking up through the deck. This thing is absolutely solid! And FYI it will easily hold 7 24 packs of your favorite beverages. Sure beats what little space I have just under the seat!

Last of the pictures. Once the rain clears, I’ll get some better pictures in the daylight. May need one final sanding and additional coat of paint at a later date.

Looks great Brad. You will be able to go on long trips with that box. I do not think it looks too big. Just keep an eye on that hinge if it is not solid brass.
