I have an Engler Hubodometer that shows 5.3 miles. Were these used on Model Ts?
(If the picture is rotated 90 degrees, how do I fix that? On my PC it is not rotated.)

With the tire size listed on it, would have been for truck. Yes you could get them for Model T's and other cars/trucks. I am thinking that they were used for trailers for a lot more years after the T era to keep track of required service and may even be still used today.
Old story goes; Joe goes to the rent a car at the stable that has seen the light and is now renting cars as a side line. Now Joe is a smart one. The car has a hub odometer because it is rented by the mile. When Joe gets out of sight of the stable he stops and swaps out the odometer for a stock hub cap that he just happens to have and goes on his merry way. Later that day he brings the car back after putting a few miles on the meter just for good measure. The conversation goes something like this; looks like you drove 10 miles, that will be $1.50. Ya didn't go far, just out to Aunt Beth's place. Truth is he had been to county seat over 40 miles round trip.
While not exact, that was a story in "Three Pedals and Lever"

How many times will a new 4.40/4.50-21 tire rotate in a mile?

This was a popular hub odometer, replaces a std. Ford hubcap.

I have one on my 26 Touring. Glass is all fogged over and unreadable.
