New Product On The Market!

Post by Jeepbone1 » Sat Apr 11, 2020 10:34 pm

I’m excited to announce that I’ve started to produce a product that while it only fills the need of a small group, I felt it should be available to all. I’ve started producing Magneto Field Coil coil insulators. This is the small gasket that goes in between the wrapped coils and the cast ring. It provides additional protection between the coils and ring in the untimely event that the tape fails. Originally these were one large ring. Mine are made to fit over the ring lugs individually. They fit well over the lugs and extend past the coils adequately. One of the larger suppliers has made the decision to add these to their catalog. These sure do beat tracing them out individually and cutting by hand.

Thanks for the support!
Brad

I’m working on that with the supplier. At the moment they will only be available through them.

Mr. Kirtner,
Thank you for making these insulators and contributing to our great hobby! And congratulations! I sometimes wonder if parts will become harder to find so I appreciate what your are doing. All the best.

FWIW, the one piece "ring" insulator that dropped over all 16 poles was first used in 1925. Before that they were all the individual style.

Thanks everyone! Thanks for the info RV. I’m working on the ring too but one project at a time.
