I have a 1927 t fordor i know carper is correct but this car will be a driver so I would rather use mats I know they show none are made and was wondering if anyone had any ideas that could possibly work.

I am using a rubber touring floor mat in the front of my 27 Tudor. It only required a small amount of trimming on the outer edges and around the seat legs. Much more practical than carpet for a car that I drive a lot.

Jay thanks that is what i was wondering so the front touring mat is slightly larger in a touring than the closed car. Any ideas on a rear mat, I could use a a model a tudor rear mat as they are much larger. Afordor is a tighter fit up front than a tudor so i am thinking a touring mat will work out just fine

The current front mats sold are a generic design that always require cut-to-fit and are not usually year specific.
I have spotted them and cut them in place through the years...but it is easier to make a taped up template out of shopping bags....then spot the pedal cut out to match and be square on the new mat and use a box cutter from there then simply roll it out in place.
Good luck

Home Depot type stores have "walk off" mats, the type you would put inside your back door, so your wet shoes don't track up your house. This one is a low nap carpet on a thick rubber backing:
They are cheap, can be cut to fit front or back, and can be removed and hosed off to clean. Your store may have something similar in solid rubber or vinyl.

George thank you for your information i planned to make a template first before hacking anything up. Wayne i have also thought about looking into exacly what you are talking about. Now here is a difference the two door has more room up front and less in the rear the fordor has less room up front and is very spacious in the rear.

Be aware that Snyder's sells an "untrimmed" rubber front floor mat that has a generous amount of extra material all around compared to their pre-trimmed mats. I used one to custom cut a front mat for my 1925 Touring body.

Thanks for remembering that oversize Ford mat.
That's the one I used for the aftermarket bodied T, was super large and trimmed it to fit nicely in the front cockpit.
