Do the fenders look wrong?

Yes, looks like ‘15 or earlier fenders on a ‘17-‘22 T. From the looks of them, especially the right one, the owner was mighty rough on front fenders. Proof that “parts salad” Fords were “normal” even in their salad days !

It would be fun to learn the state and year of the license plate if photo quality would allow it. I’d guess still in the ‘20s from the very cool whitewall tires, looks like a chain pattern tread. Knowledgeable folk may be able to tell us the tire make. A very sound, no-nonsense rig perfectly capable of traveling many trouble free miles of dirt road in the middle of “nowhere”. Thanks Herb ! Quite a mixture. The windshield hinges are offset, so '17-'22 windshield. Check out the way that the hood fits. It looks to me as though it could be home made. It rides high on the cowl and I can't make out a hinge on it. Plus, the radiator looks as though it might be pushed back a bit at the top. Also, the top bows and top material are the "one man" style from '23 on. You can see the running board truss rod which would make the chassis mid '21 or earlier. There's probably a bit more someone else can find. Great picture. Thanks for posting it!

Good luck identifying the license plate. What type of vegetation is that? It looks like the Southwest desert to me. I agree on the 17+ theory. I see an upper wishbone with a lower support. (Maybe?)

That’s a working guys pickup. Probably got parts for it as needed. Since lots of T parts would interchange he picked them up at wrecking yards. Bet he was a self sufficient guy too.

Rich, the veggies and landscape look to me like it could be anywhere south of central Nevada. Just a wild guess. Back to the license plate, barring a post at a higher resolution, the inscription seems to offer some earmarks that might suggest both state and approximate year for a plate guru to guess on ?? You always seem to do very well at that !

I can’t see enough to be even remotely sure, but there’s something about this T that gives me the impression the pickup box is a ‘25 or so factory item. Thoughts ?

As for the plates I looked at all 48 states. These are the closest ones with identifiers left and right and light background colors I could find. I don't see a match. Those WS hinges are too high for a brass T. I also think I see screws in the lower brackets rather than rivets.

Rich, thanks for taking the trouble to look through plates. I don’t see a match either. Of course knowing the plate still wouldn’t necessarily tell us where the photo was taken.
