26 27 Fordor body bracket questions
Hi All
I am in the process of putting my Fordor body together and have the following questions please.
Question 1 From the attached pictures taken from Ray Elkins 2009 restoration I need the dimensions of the brackets that are just flat sheet as pictured 5 in total 2 are the same as each other. Also the location of these would be help too please.
Question 2 Does anybody know the location of these triangular shaped brackets. The ones with the curve.
Question 3. Are these other triangular brackets for a Fordor ? I cannot see them in the group of brackets that Ray Elkins posted in 2009.
Thank you
Andrew Webb

Re: 26 27 Fordor body bracket questions
Suggestion, put the brackets you have questions about on contrasting background, lay them out and number them. Might be easier for people that would know to say bracket No X goes in this location. I looked in the body parts catalog but the only wood diagram leave something to be desired re what brackets go where. There is a hint but not much as some are only partly visible and others are not shown.
I know the voices aren't real but damn they have some good ideas!

Hello Andrew,
A very good suggestion from Mark.
If Don Booth is watching this thread I am sure he would be able to help as well. He has certainly seen enough of these later Fordor's.
Not sure if you will gain much from these two links to Don's past work.
Best regards, John Page, Australia.

Re: 26 27 Fordor body bracket questions
Picture 1 that bracket goes on the main base of the car. Its a corner bracket for the cross-brace.
Picture 3 are the brackets for the main base that attaches the floorboard support (at both ends) between the battery access and the passenger side
of the floorboards.
The very top picture of the thread is the cosmetic plates that covers the wood in the very lower rear of the rear quarter windows.
You also have the C and D pillar supports that to connect to the main base frame on the inside of the bottoms of the pillars.
I can answer just about any other questions you may have if you want to PM me your email or phone number. Feel free to do so...

All main frame corner brackets mount on the underside on the main wood base frame.
