I received notice that the MTFCI National Tour in Ohio has been cancelled. Just one of so many events that have suffered a similar fate. I was going to miss it anyway as I was planning to make my 47th consecutive visit to the big airshow at Oshkosh, Wisconsin, but now that's been cancelled too. Oshkosh typically draws over 700,000 people from all over the world and for the week of the event is the world's busiest airport. It's going to be a strange summer without it. Maybe I lack imagination but I never thought I'd see something like this in my life.

Still has May 15 listed on their web page as decision day. Hope you are wrong.

I have also received an email from the organizers that the event will be postponed to July, 2021, and that refund checks will be sent.

Got the same message. Guess they decided not to wait until 1he 15th. They had to consider that folks would be coming from many states.

I got a call from Morris Dillow, MTFCI President, this morning indicating after only 4 minutes of discussion the vote was unanimous to cancel the tour. The host committee has offered to put the tour on next year which I think made the decision easier. I believe that the deadline for a full refund was May 1st which would explain why the timing is now instead of May 15th.

It is too bad but I'd rather be safe than think I gave another Model Ter the virus.

Not exactly on topic, but I saw that the EAA fly-in at Oshkosh is cancelled for this year also.

The information is correct. we decided to make sure the information went into the May/ June Model T Times and the full refund cut off is May 15th
All decision were made in high consideration of the saftey of our membership.

Anyone know if the MTFCA National Tour scheduled for July is still on? I'm guessing probably not.

I don't have inside knowledge, but my understanding is that it (the MTFCA tour) is still on. If what I've heard is correct, the hotel plans to be open and has made accommodations to the club that make the situation workable, at least at this time.
