Muncie question

Post by Dennis Prince » Tue May 12, 2020 11:15 pm

Did Muncie make a aux trans for a T that doesn't have overdrive? My friend just installed a Muncie in his pickup and it seems to have super under, under and direct. I have never run into this before. I am thinking maybe built for a TT.

Apparently, yes they did. A friend of mine got stung by one of those about twenty years ago. I have never seen an ad for one, but his was not the only one I have heard of. And I did see his.

Thanks Wayne, I have seen one now also, I am thinking that it would be good in a snow mobile but it is not so good in a pick up.

Very interesting. I have a TT with a Muncie, but it's the more traditional under/direct/over/reverse set up.

Being a TT guy, I can't help but wonder - If you install this super under/under/direct Muncie in a TT with low speed rear end gears and a Ruckstell, then set it in Ford low/Muncie super under/Ruckstell under would it even move?
