ARE 26/27 ROADSTER DOOR LATCHES DIFFERENT
I am restoring a 1926 RPU and the latches that came with the car won't bolt up. Is there a difference between 26 and 27 door latches?
The one in the left In the picture Is what came with the 26 open car that I am restoring.
The one to the right Is from a 27 open customer car.
Witch one Is 26 or do I have the wrong Door Latches?

The on on the left looks like what’s on my 26.
The one on the right is for a 1928 Model A and was used prior to the introduction of outside handles.

Re: ARE 26/27 ROADSTER DOOR LATCHES DIFFERENT
There is subtle differences in the '26 and the later '27.
Here is the '27 version, easy to spot with the clipped top corner. This one has hole for the upholstery nail socket, for the trim board on the door and the latch tucks into the door panel opening.

Dan, maybe you explained this in another thread and I missed it. Why is that man in your avatar peeing on his model T?

As far as I know, the 1925 and 1926 door latches are the same.
