Model T and Model A Engine Swap

Post by 1194668jc » Mon May 18, 2020 4:44 pm

There is a museum literally just across my park, the Clark County Museum. All the old technology that resides there is what keeps me visiting. Some of these things consists of cars. Sitting outside all day in dry cold/heat are a Model T, A, and a late 20s Chevrolet. While examining the cars, an old man with white whiskers came up from behind me. He told me that in the Model T was a Model A engine and in the Model T was a Model A engine. I couldn't believe that as I have never heard of such an engine swap. But the man turned out to be the museum founder. I doubt his credibility, still. Is it possible to swap the engines?

If I remember there is a thread about installing an AC in a ModelT. There is a picture of it too.

I am not sure on all the details for an engine swap. I think it is more common to put a Model T body on a Model A chassis. But I don’t know what crowds either have a market for...
