Ford Tudor Sedan

Hello! This is my first post on this forum. Last year, we purchased a property that came with a Model T Tudor Sedan. The last registration sticker is from 1963, and it has clearly been parked for a long time but is in really solid condition. The engine is still free and has compression. According to the registration we found, it is a 1926. I was wondering, is there is any way to confirm this? I know there is a serial number on the engine, but that would be assuming it is the original engine. Is there identifying features unique to that year (or any year) on the Tudors?

WOW!
your frame will have a SN under the floorboard on passenger side. Originally it matched the engine. Sitting that long, it may easily be the original engine. That is a DANDY!
Welcome to the affliction!

You can tell by the looks of the 26-27 “improved” T. They were the last of the T’s that were made. Rounded fenders, more louvers on the sides of the hood and a more modern look than the 25 on back cars. Easy to spot if you’ve been around Model T’s a lot. Yours looks like it’s a real solid car. It’s been stored inside and that’s pretty much what saved the car.
Great find.

The 26 & 27s Cars had the gas tank under the dash board with filler on the back of the hood under flip up gas door. gas line came through the middle of the firewall on the right side with a brass gas bowl and gas cut off valve. The 26/27s also came with a vaporizer carburetor which many folks have replaced with Holly NH and other carbs. Gas tank will most likely require a good cleaning and may need a liquid liner applied for some protection against rust and corrosion. Good Luck have fun.

I found the frame number, and it is a 26. Unfortunately, it does not have the original engine, but I'm not complaining!
