I know it's not Ford, but it appears to be early and large, at least that's what we think based on the aluminum engine case and open valves. It is 6 cylinder and it is definitely a large car. The springs are huge.....

I need to identify this and find someone that wants it ASAP. Everything in the yard is about to be scrapped. There is also a 4 cylinder Buick undercarriage and a 6 cylinder Buick undercarriage.

Any help identifying this is appreciated.

A six cylinder Buick perhaps 1922 or thereabouts.

There’s another 6 cylinder Dodge next to this, I don’t know the year. I wouldn’t have thought a car that late would have open valves, but who knows.... there doesn’t seem to be any way there could have been a cover, what with the pushrods running up the outside of the block.

The 4 cylinder undercarriageI know is a Dodge; in my initial post I said Buick.

Chevrolet was overhead and didn't get rocker covers till about 1925 or 26 and push rods covers in 1928, so not uncommon to have open valve works.

Gary, Neat chassis. It is a 1918 Buick series 45. It will make a really nice speedster! Wish I had the time and the money!

Gary, I disagree about the 1922 Sedan idea. The number may be the same but the engine isn't. The 1918 had a very distinctive exposed valve and pushrod set in three groups of two cylinders. The 1922 had the more modern enclosed valve and pushrod train used for years to come.

That exposed pushrod engine just screams "Use me in a teens speedster!" This 1922 engine just yawns "Ho-hum".

All someone has to do is remove them, if they want to donate something to the grand kid's college fund that's great but not required. You've got to remove the entire undercarriage, it's not possible to disassemble and remove parts on site.
