I'm reading that it would be ideal for the compression gauge I use to have an upper end of 100 PSI. Searches (including Amazon) lead to none - all have upper end readings of 300. Any ideas where to get a 100 PSI compression gauge?

I don't think is NECESSARY, but in my case I thought it would be "better"

there are generic 100psi air pressure gauges out there, but they all seem to be 2" I figured I'd buy a 100psi tire pressure gauge / hose kit and put that gauge with my compression tester

alternatively - I realize now that I could cut the end off the tire gauge hose, and crimp a 1/2" pipe fitting on, to create a Model T specific gauge

Same here, the 300psi works for the T, unless you want so much accuracy, you better get an expensive pressure guage with certificate.

I just use the normal low cost unit from say NAPA, and change the ends , as they are pipe threads, to a 1/2" male pipe thread for the adapter to Model T spark plug hole. These testers have the handy button lock and release for easy tests.

IF you have to have a small range gauge, then McMaster Carr has bunch of psi, from 10 to 150 styles, 2", 3" and 4", the basic ones are $10-$15. Just replace the gauge of your tester.

In the old days, firemen were taught the center third of those gauges was the most accurate area to set and run the water pumps.

The 100 psi max gauge puts most Model T stock engines right in the center area.
