FJ - That Makes Eleven Model T Vehicles
Tuesday was a good day
I got to visit friends for starters
Mark Atkins is bringing this Crosley back to Life
in the garage at his house:
We visited while waiting for Jerry Kramer and a few of The Boys to return - they were participating in a local parade.
Jerry returned just as two vans packed with little girls from Girls Inc. Of Wayne County pulled into the museum parking lot.
Soon they were in the newly finished Model T Fire Truck

The first Model T I transported to The MTFCA Museum several years ago was a largely original 1923 Model T Center Door
It is on the main museum floor.

Re: FJ - That Makes Eleven Model T Vehicles
This 1925 Model TT Fruit & Vegetable Wagon
was a challenge to load and unload.
At about 8 feet tall - the demountable tires
had to be removed so it could fit in my trailer.
Bob Jablonski & his wife volunteered to
remove the demountable wheels at pick up
in New Jersey back in May of 2018.

After the wheels were removed - I loaded the TT into my trailer - it just fit
At the museum Jerry was ready with The Boys
The rear wheels were installed first after the TT exited the trailer - then the front wheels

The Purple Cow
The Fruit & Vegetable Truck was a challenge.
But the largest volume Model T that I have transported to date has been The Purple Cow.
In the Ohio Countryside east of Cincinnati lived a dairy farmer who decided to buy an old hot dog and popcorn vending wagon at an auction and build a replacement body out of cherry wood on his farm.
He really had no woodworking experience or stained glass experience but I think he did a pretty good job.
When he passed - his daughter put an ad in the MTFCA Classifieds but could not find a Buyer.
She & I talked at that time - then about a year later she reached out to me again for advice.
So I discussed with Jerry Kramer the possibility of a loan to the museum and offered to transport it for free.
It actually started & ran !
I got a glimpse of how challenging this transport might be during the load out.
I had asked them to measure the overall height - length - width before I came out to transport it.
Turned out to be taller than I was advised

Flat Tire(s)
Upon arriving at the Museum Annex alley and opening the rear door - we discovered the rear
passenger side tire had gone completely flat.
I forgot if the passenger front tire was also flat but as large as The Purple Cow was - it had listed to the curb side of the trailer and wasnβt going to come out easily
Jerry thought we could remove the rear demountable tires and with the help of Justin
we managed to jack up the driver rear
first and remove the wheel and then the passenger rear wheel
Then Justin took to a ladder to make sure the roof would clear the 8 foot rear door

Success !
The front wheels stayed on I guess for the unloading from the trailer and the maneuvering
to the door of the building
But then Jerry had to remove them so
The Purple Cow could fit thru the door
Justin behind the wheel

The Florida Torpedo
Several years ago right along the South Florida Atlantic Coast parked in a garage under some bikes
( Click in the images to see them clearly )
This Model T Torpedo had been donated to The MTFCA Museum
The gentleman meeting me was in a rush.
He starting pushing the Model T Torpedo
from where it sat without moving the bikes
while I was outside the garage.
One of the bike handlebar grips left a black mark
on the top that I think is still there today

Re: FJ - That Makes Eleven Model T Vehicles
Hi Jim,
So just to confirm you are back in the business of hauling old cars? Because per our last conversation, you could not deliver here. I bypassed 3 potentials because of this, and I don't want to commit to an old car or bike not knowing if you can or cannot deliver here, so I want to know if that's still the case or you can now deliver up here, so I can start looking again.
Thanks Bunches,
Susanne

COVID-19 and Riots
Hi Susanne
I have never stopped transporting during COVID-19.
If you read my posts on my transport thread in β Parts β - I was limited to interstate travel for awhile and picking up and dropping off at exits only.
The riots necessitated not spending the night in certain cities - my oldest daughter Sarah came with me for almost (2) weeks on a cross country road trip from California.

Number 13 Turns Out To Be A 1913
I guess 13 is a lucky number
Sunday was a relatively warm day in Richmond.
Jerry Kramer - Mark Atkins - Garry Houser
turned out to help Noah roll the latest
donated Model T into the museum.
A mostly original 1913 Model T Runabout
It was accompanied by extra parts which
included a couple of radiators.
