My classtique upholstery kit came in yesterday and my uncle and I spent most of yesterday installing it. Fantastic product and Mike has some of the best customer service skills I’ve ever seen. It did take four months to get it but it was well worth the wait. I now have a new found hate for hog rings. I could live the rest of my life without ever seeing another one and be completely ok! I haven’t seen much as restoration documentation for the closed cab trucks so here’s hoping I can help out the next guy.

That definitely works, but originally there were no hog rings or plywood involved. There is a “V” channel at the base of the cushions and back springs that gets pried open. There should be cording welt sewn into the seat covers on the sides that just gets pinched in those channels to fasten the covers to the springs. Real simple and easy to install.

I have a file somewhere bout the TT's. Info is a bit limited.

Duey, it doesn’t hang persay. It has four support “rods” two on top and two on the bottom. The two on top slide into slots made between the top and bottom panel seams. The two on the bottom are held in by bolts through the bottom panel. These are the best pictures I can get. The truck is too black and shiny to get great pictures. Woe is me, right? I used 1/4”-20 brass slotted machine screws, so it won’t rust, with rubber washers against the panel then stainless washers and lock washers to make sure it doesn’t come apart. I also used stainless square nuts to keep it more period correct. Hope this helps.
