Mystery Carburetor

I bought this carburetor from Mark Friemiller. It has no name and has two throttle plates/ valves, connected by progressive, adjustable linkage, and then has the usual choke valve, as well. It is a straight through bore carburetor; the carburetor throttle bore measures 1 1/8" and the choke bore measures 1 1/4". The best that I can figure; the secondary throttle plate is adjustable to regulate the mixture at idle and high speed, as low speed- lean and rich are on one side and high speed- lean and rich are on the other side. This sounds similar to Simmons carburetor. The carburetor is clean and has little or not wear to choke and throttle shafts. I thought I'd give it a going-over and give it a try. Although the finish (not painted) on the carburetor body looks gray or pewter; it is actually Olive Drab. Military, maybe?
