I was thinking along the lines of your first guess, Chevrolet. I don't have first hand experience, but do recall that they mount very much like the 1926-27 stanchions.
I know the voices aren't real but damn they have some good ideas! :shock:

1925 Cut down pickup
1920 Dodge touring
1948 Ford F2 pickup

My dyslexia read stanchions with no problem. Thanks for mentioning it though.
Those look like '26-'27 Chevrolet to me. They appear often at swap meets and are too often bought as model T and disappoint folks.
When did I do that?
