Without seeing it,I would say it is not.Remember that fan is going to try to drill a BIG hole in your radiator if it gets loose.
If you can't help em, don't hinder em'

No, run without a fan until you can find a replacement, they are plentiful and cheap. Unless you are in a parade or stuck in a traffic jam, you do not really need a fan.

15% the price of a new radiator, or equivalent to 4 1/2 fill-ups in PA.

Larry, while you are in there you should re-route your timer wiring harness up to the water outlet and back. Use an adell clamp at the water outlet bolt to hold it just like Henry did.

Wondering too about the routing of the timer wire harness? The 26/27 with coil box on the motor would have had a short harness that ran from the box over the engine down the passenger side to the timer. Cars and trucks with firewall mounted coil boxes, the timer harness would have been all on the passenger side along the frame rail. With it running along the front like that and loose, potential to cut with fan belt or? If it is the correct 26/27 harness, move it so it goes over the top of the water outlet. There would have been a wire clip that held it using the passenger side water outlet bolt.
I know the voices aren't real but damn they have some good ideas!

Running without a fan is only as good as your radiator.

Are you referring to the aluminum fan hub flange that crumbled ?

Adjuster, but the pulley does look a little wonky, could be the angle.
